# Voice Memos

## Voice Memos

Voice Memos allow respondents to answer survey questions by sending a voice note instead of typing. Safi Data transcribes the recording automatically, so their spoken answer is captured as text in your results.

### Why It Matters

In many markets, people are more comfortable speaking than writing, especially in their local language. Voice Memos removes a major barrier to participation and tends to produce longer, richer, more candid responses than text alone.
